Framed Bunny Silhouette

Silhouettes are pretty popular right now
so why not include some cute bunnies too?

For my rabbit...
I googled "rabbit silhouette" and found this one.
I pulled it up on my computer screen and traced it onto a piece of notebook paper.
Cut that out and traced it again onto my black cardstock.
(and then cut it out again)

Using patterned papers,
cut your background piece to the size of your frame..
(I cut an 8" x 10" piece)
Then I cut 4 strips to go around the edges.
Two of them are 1" x 8"
and two are 1" x 10".
Ink your edges, if you want
and attach them to your background piece.

After sticking the bunny down,
I added a couple stitches in each of the corners.
They're not really that noticeable though.

Check back tomorrow for another fun bunny silhouette idea.

So simple & so darling. I think I might just need this before Sunday's company comes. I'll be sure to check back for tomorrow's silhouette!

Cool! I think I will do two - each facing inward, with coordinating paper, to go with my toddler-bunny sillhouette I made here...

Cute ideas... love them. We're ousting the dying eggs tradition for those cute rabbit pops. Way better. (We'll still fill some of those plastic eggs with candy though.)

cute idea! I did a bird (I'm told thats the big thing right now). Gonna give it to my sister for her birthday. I used black felt instead of cardstock. Kinda made it pop a little. The kids had a great time chooseing the fabrics. Yellow with silver polka dots for the back and really bright striped flannel for the edges. Love it.

Very cute! There are so many tacky Easter decorations out there, it's nice to see something that I would actually be happy to display in my house. (hmmm.. that kinda makes me sound like a non-fun-loving grouch... but i'm not, i promise!)
