{Christmas Advents} Cones

While flipping through the pages of my Family Fun magazine, I came across this fun little cone advent. I wanted to use some bright Christmas papers so I bought the DCWV "tis the season" paper pack at Michaels with my 40% off coupon. The papers are really pretty. You probably can't tell from the pictures, but some of the papers have glitter!
(and i'm sure you know by now... we like glitter)

Get the how-to HERE.
(they provide a template to make your cones)
And I put together a sheet with numbers to make it even easier...

When your cones are all put together, fill them with goodies.
candy... stickers... peanuts...
(don't laugh, my kids thought the peanuts were cool)

Another fun idea would be to write out different Christmas activities on strips of paper and place those under each of the cones.

What a cute idea. Wish I still had little ones at home looking to count down those exciting days!

So cute! Another idea would be to put the same number of the item that corresponds to the cone. For example you could put one peanut under the number 1 cone, 5 pieces of candy under the number 5 cone, etc.

They are super cute!
We always have an Advents-calendar since we are from Germany! So, I am always happy about new ideas!
Thanks for sharing!

This is the cutest idea, thank you! I might have to try it this year instead of our wooden box advent.

That is really cute! And not out of control hard! And on another note, I think I've talked the hubs into letting me add Teal to the family christmas combo. And it's all due to you cuties. I've had plain red & silver for at least 5 years. I'm so stinkin' excited!! Thanks for being so awesome! :) (wow! That was a lot of exclamation points!)

Thank you for making this available! I am doing a 'December Daily' album for 2010 and I am documenting a little something everyday in December, and I plan to use these numbers for the page for each day! Thank you so much!

Such a great idea! This can really be done up in so many different styles! Love it : ) I'm including this in a Friday Favorites - Advent Countdowns post on my blog.
