Sugarplums

Our kids have their class parties this week and we decided to do something cute and yummy for the younger ones to pass out.

The idea for the treats came from Familyfun.com. We just added a tag to personalize them.

What you'll need:
  • blue candy melts
  • lollipop sticks
  • large marshmallows
  • 3" x 4" clear bags
  • sprinkles
  • ribbon (green)
  • a piece of styrofoam
  • hole punch
  • sugarplum download HERE
How to do it:
Step One... Follow the directions on the bag for melting the chocolate. Prepare the sugarplums by pushing the sticks halfway into the marshmallows.

Step Two... dip the marshmallows halfway into the chocolate then directly into the sprinkles. Stand the sugarplums up in the styrofoam to set.

Step Three... Once the chocolate is completely set, place the clear bags over them.

Step Four... punch a hole in the middle of the tag. tie a knot around the stick with your ribbon. stick the ends of the ribbon into the hole and then tie into a bow.

Step Five... place a strip of double-sided tape between the two strips of tag and stick them together.

It doesn't get much easier than this.

Sooo jealous of schools that still allow handmade foods to be brought in. Ours don't anymore (understandably, though). These are cute!

Marshmallows on a stick are a crowd favorite on the dessert tables I create -even the grown ups eat them {i'm personally not a fan of raw marshmallows, but they sure are cute!}

Wait!?! There are still schools that allow you to bring in homemade treats??? I WISH we could do something like this. :( SO darling.

My Hmong neighbors use to make something simular when I was growning up. The difference is that before the layer of chocolate they would put on a layer of peanut butter. YUM

Cute! Easy! Fun! I have some orange and purple candy melts left over from the summer. I didn't think that they were Christmasy, but I was wrong. These will be perfect for my two-year-olds friends.
