for last year's valentines we totally jumped on the bandwagon and made the tootsie pop valentines.
i gotta admit. who ever thought of this idea is genius!
they were the cutest valentine's ever and i'm not sure if we'll ever top them.
but we will try.

I like this idea too:

I couldn't find an online tutorial for the pop valentines, but I can explain how it's done. It's so simple that it probably doesn't warrant a full tutorial:
First, take a picture of the subject (child, etc.) posing like they're holding something in front of them towards the photographer.
You can use photo editing software to add text, etc. to the image.
When you print them, you cut a small hole at the top and bottom of the hand and slide the pop through the holes.
You can also mount the photograph on colored paper (like this post has) to add some color.
I hope this helps - I can't take credit for the idea, but at least I can help share how it's done!
We are totally doing the picture pops this year but we did the the shovels last year (With a little sand pail filled with candy and wrote 'your a great 'pail' i really 'dig' you') They were a huge hit! Keep the wonderfull ideas coming!
